TEMECULA, Calif., (July 28, 2014) – It’s cowabunga time at Promenade Temecula. The shopping center is inviting families and locals of all ages to celebrate the release of the new “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie with a thrilling live-action event on Saturday, August 9 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Guests will be thrust into the action as the live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles perform an epic battle against villainous ninjas in the center’s outdoor plaza, according to Kym Espinosa, Director of Marketing for Promenade Temecula.
“The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise has been loved for generations, and this fun, interactive event is the perfect opportunity to give our guests an unforgettable experience with these well-loved characters,” explains Espinosa.
To bring the event to life, Promenade Temecula has partnered with Jason Ybarra, an actor, stuntman, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles super fan who took his childhood love for the nostalgic show and built a real working model of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Van. As soon as Ybarra saw how much joy the van brought to people as he drove through the streets of Los Angeles, he decided to form a group of actors to bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action and adventure to life for all to enjoy.
Following the live show, there will be a meet and greet opportunity for guests to take fun photos with the Ninja Turtles and April O’Neil in front of Edwards Theaters. Photos are only $5.00 each, and all proceeds will go directly to Rancho Damacitas, a local organization that provides residential treatment services for children of abuse and neglect.
“As a center with deep roots in this community, we understand how important it is to bring support and awareness to an organization that does so much for our local children in need,” says Espinosa. “We encourage community members to visit us to enjoy this one-of-a-kind live-action experience, while also giving back to this important cause.”
