TEMECULA, CA – The award-winning Chaparral High School Performing Arts Department is pleased to announce that its fall production will be Noises Off, the 1982 play by English playwright Michael Frayne. Noises Off is a fast-paced comedy in three acts focusing on a play within a play. It is about an ambitious director and his troupe of mediocre actors. The cast and crew are putting together a silly comedy titled, Nothing On.
The three acts of Noises Off expose different phases of the disastrous show, Nothing On:
• Act One: On stage during dress rehearsal.
• Act Two: Backstage during a matinee performance.
• Act Three: On stage during a delightfully ruined performance after the troupe has been on tour for several weeks.
The production stars: Tag Pruitt (11th Grade) as Lloyd; Katie Brady (12th Grade) as Dotty; Marissa Gonzalez (12th Grade) as Belinda; Rafael Loza (10th Grade) as Garry; Enrique Duenas (12th Grade) as Freddie; Julianna Smith (10th Grade) as Poppy; Sidney Aptaker (11th Grade) as Kim; and Chad Breece (11th Grade) as Selsdon.
